So I guess this Dark Void game is going to be a pretty big deal. What with the movie tie-ins we can easily conclude that Capcom is looking to make this a major franchise. Maybe it's because I haven't had any time with the game yet (unlike Dyson), but I'm just not feeling it that much -- and I love The Rocketeer or at least the idea of strapping a jet pack onto my back. If you have been following the game then this video is for you, as it shows off The Watchers, who are mysterious indigenous beings from the planet Dark Void takes place on.
These guys appear to be enemies in the game, as large, sharp, metallic, pointy creatures usually are, but the video doesn't show off much about them in general. I must say that they do look a bit out of place from the retro/future design I've seen of the game so far, but that is possibly intentional so that they are clearly different from your jet pack wearing hero. See, just typing "jet pack wearing hero" is actually getting me excited for this game.

Ubisoft held a short film Assassin's Creed contest where the grand prize winner would take home $10,000. Above is the winner of the competition and easily deserved first place prize. Learn more about the film over on Gaming Union. Thanks, Kyle!
After the break, Mr. T comes back to make fools play Wolrd of Warcraft. Then it's Paparazzi Punch-Out. Next, Cranky Kong was a jerk. Followed by an ode to Peppy from Star Fox. Then check out the great Mega Man 2 cover by Jam Project.
Next up is Star Trek: Rock Band edition. Followed by a new episode of Webzeroes where they have a gaming marathon. Then it's Contra: The movie. The Destructainment ends with the New Super Mario Bros. Wii Super Guide failing hard.

Left 4 Dead 2 released this past week and while most people are having fun with it, there is a dedicated clan of people who are determined to convince the world that Left 4 Dead 2 is not a real game. These people, who we shall class as "f*cking idiots," have labeled Left 4 Dead 2 an expansion pack, unworthy of accolade and recognition.
These people are wrong and stupid. Left 4 Dead 2 is every bit a sequel as any other game, and trying to say otherwise is ludicrous. The arguments supporting the claim that L4D2 is an expansion remain nonsensical and reek of double standards. If you think Left 4 Dead 2 is an expansion, you are clearly very ignorant, very unintelligent, or you simply haven't played the game.
Read on as we explain why thinking Left 4 Dead 2 is an expansion makes you a f*cking idiot.
Chris Cashman’s smooth voice blasted into over 22,000 people’s ear holes last evening during the live debut of the second season of 1 vs. 100. I was one of those in attendance, listening to the Cashman in rapture while plugging in answers to questions about Michael Jackson and even Steven Colbert. Since I was there (along with a few buddies), I figured I could try to pull some of you along for the ride via a Ten Minute Taste.
As has been promised, this latest season does showcase a few changes to the core game, but nothing of the radical sort -- just small presentation tweaks that aren’t noticeable unless you’re looking for them. It’s still 1 vs. 100, including all the boring pans, shots of lifeless Avatars, and commercial interruptions.
But don’t let me discourage you from checking it out. If you’re a Gold member, the LIVE Primetime show remains free and has a show about once an evening. You’d be surprised how addicted you’ll get to this game after digging into a few Extended Sessions.
So, the beginning of Season 2. What do you guys think about it? Are you going to give the show another spin or should Microsoft have delayed it because of MW2? Discuss.

At first glance, some may expect a treatise on Pokémon as a cock-fighting simulator. That would be way too easy, and it's been done before. Rather, I'm here to expose how Pokémon, as a cumulative franchise, has a more insidious, wide-reaching goal.
Nintendo's Pocket Monsters series has spent the last thirteen years raising a whole new generation of sociopaths, turning our world's children into legions of irredeemable, self-centered pricks.
But how, you ask? Pokémon is all about making friends with small, adorable creatures, so that they will aid you in combating less well-intentioned critters of similar adorability, and gain honor and prestige as you make even more friends in this great and wonderful world with way too much tall grass!
What a load, and in many ways, a load that makes a lot of the veiled corruption in this game come across as even more repulsive. Let's take a loose, imaginary play-through of your average Pokémon title, and begin shedding some light on things.
One of the best Super Nintendo games ever, Super Mario Kart, will be hitting the Virtual Console this Monday. The classic racing game will cost you 800 Wii points.
Later this holiday season, we can expect a couple of more classics to hit the Virtual Console store. First up will be Pilotwings for the SNES and towards the end of the year, Super Smash Bros 64 will also finally be available.
So yeah, good games! Not to say that everything as of late has been crap, but it's annoying that Nintendo takes their sweet time to release the games people are dying for. Anyone excited for any of these upcoming re-releases?
Well, are you? We want you to take a picture of yourself in front of whatever Naruto product you own. Whether it be clothing, DVDs, videogames -- even taking a picture of yourself in front of a computer screen with something from Naruto on it is fine. Whatever picture you take, it must have something Naruto related in the image and there has to be some kind of sign or image that says Destructoid.com. No photo editing is allowed unless you want to create an animated gif.
You have until Sunday, November 22 11:59PM CST to submit your photo in the comments below. Contest is open to US residents only. We'll be picking the six biggest Naruto fans who will each be receiving this prize pack courtesy of Tomy Corporation:
One copy of Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 (Wii), one limited edition Naruto Shippuden Clash of Ninja Revolution3 T-shirt, one Naruto Headband and Naruto chopsticks. The grand prize winner will also be scoring himself an exclusive one-of-a-kind framed poster featuring Anbu Kakashi, the final unlockable character in Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 which is out in stores this week for the Wii.
Make sure you use BBCode when submitting your photo ([img]picturename.jpg[/img] and that the image is no wider than 620 pixels. Good luck!
The first thing you'll notice about this video is how I sound like my voice is about to turn into a frog. That's because I was sick as Hell when I recorded it. Still, I bravely soldiered on to produce the video, with a little help from our very own Rey Gutierrez, since I've been in Miami.
This week, I have been creating the video on the brand new computer of greatness that I have received. It allowed me to be a bit more adventurous with editing, even though the software I got was borked so the size has come out a tiny bit smaller than Viddler's player. Still, it's in actual HD this week, so progress has been made!
Oh, and I should also note that the script for this episode is horribly juvenile. I do not apologize in advance.
Here's some news that should make Apple fanboys happy: Gameloft says that it will be scaling back its investment in games for the Android platform, and that other development companies are doing so as well. The French game developer, who makes most its money off of mobile games, says that many other companies are following suit thanks to Google's lack of promotion of the games on their platform and the service not being as well put together as the iPhone's.
This was all revealed at a recent shareholders meeting in which Gameloft finance director Alexandre de Rochefort said, "We have significantly cut our investment in Android platform, just like... many others." He then went on to state that Android's app store is "not as neatly done as on the iPhone." Following that statement up by slamming Google themselves for a lack of support: "Google has not been very good to entice customers to actually buy products. On Android nobody is making significant revenue."
I've seen that new Droid phone and played around with it a bit, and I must admit he is correct about the service not being as neatly done, but the phone is just out of the gate and there are a ton of other models that use Android set to hit. I doubt it will hurt Gameloft too much since they are still developing for Android, but they might be kicking themselves over this decision in a few months time.
"@ The Silent Protagonist,
That sounded fanboyish by accident. I meant to say "Better than most of DSiWare games available." I don't personally think they're very creative games (Modern Combat an..."...
Recently Ubisoft announced and released its UPlay service to the gaming masses, and the gaming masses looked on and didn't care all that much. The service is yet another way to organize your games and get achievements, and seems pretty cool for those on the PC, but utterly irrelevant to those who play Ubisoft games on the 360 or PS3. The only purpose to picking it up is getting the free DLC unlocks by earning points through Achievements "Accomplishments."
This fact is even further backed up by the video above, which shows that UPlay looks exactly like the 360's dashboard. I'm sure those of us who have already used the beta service noticed this before, but cramming all the ways they ripped off Microsoft's design into one video really drives the point home. It is interesting to see a Rabbid in the video, however. The Rabbids have appeared on consoles outside of the Wii, but that is their main home. Could UPlay appear on the Wii as well, and if so would that mean a third party will do more on the Wii with internet than Nintendo will ever do?
I don't know why anyone would need more convincing that Project Natal was for the sexy in crowd after seeing Nick "Sexy In Crowd" Chester rock it at the Tokyo Game Show, but I suppose that aside from a few awkwardly twisted Avatars and a game where people hit balls at blocks we haven't really seen that much of Microsoft's "future of gaming and everything ever." Not to fear, more shall come -- just not directly for the public.
Microsoft has confirmed that it will reveal more information on Natal to developers (and thus through leaks and "accidental" quotes to the general public) come February of 2010 at their Gamefest conferences that are held in the US, UK and Japan. The American conference will feature two separate tracks on the machine. One will focus on designing games for the peripheral while the other will focus on the technical aspects of it. Microsoft is promising developers that they will be shown "never-before seen details of game development using Project Natal."
If most devs are just getting this information in February of next year, then it's going to be a good long time before we see Natal in the hands of the public as was probably obvious from the quick rebuffing of last weeks rumored November release date. We're guessing that they've already got some third party devs in the loop unless Microsoft is planning to launch without any quality third party support at all.
"When they said that you could play Katamari on Natal, I became interested in it. When they showed the actual gameplay, I laughed my head off and knew I'd never buy one of these things."...
Remember when your parents told you to go play outside instead of playing videogames all day long? Well today's TeeFury shirt takes that saying and gives it a whole new spin. Classic Nintendo cartridges are playing in the park enjoying the fresh air blowing into their contacts. There's even a NES controller that's acting like a dog.
Like all things on TeeFury, you only have 24 hours to purchase this shirt before IT'S GONE FOREVER! Grab one over on the site for just $9.
Seven minutes and sixteen seconds is entirely too long for a video on the Internet. Especially when said video is about a game called City Bus Simulator 2010. Even if this was the top of the line in terms of bus driving simulation, which it's painfully not, it'd still be too dull for a seven-minute clip.
Knowing this, I've gathered specific key moments you won't want to miss. You can catch these at the following time marks: 0:32, 2:00, 2:30, 4:52, and 5:14. I'm probably forgetting something, but there's no way I'm spending any more time watching this damn video. You can't make me.
HAWP takes on Uncharted 2, Holmes reviewed Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Nick checked out ModNation Racers, Wal-Mart has some good Black Friday deals, a new Super Street Fighter IV fighter will be revealed soon and more happened on 11/20/09.
